Madonna has caused outrage after she shared some AI generated pictures of herself with Pope Francis.
AI seems to be taking over the world at the minute, and it can be difficult to differentiate between real and fake images.
If you’ve seen an influx of AI-generated images lately, it’s because X upgraded their Grok AI and has allowed people to make images for free.
While it can be fun, it also comes with some genuine concerns as people ask for images of celebs in weird situations.

Or in this case, some celebs actually share the work themselves.
Madonna shared some provocative images on her Instagram Story late Friday… all of which featured Pope Francis.
In the first image, Pope Francis, 87, is shown embracing the singer, 66, with a broad smile, his nose pressed against her cheek.
Madonna captioned the picture: “Going into the weekend like…”

The second photo takes it up a notch, showing the pop star in a lacy corset as the pope appears to lean in for a kiss, his arm wrapped around her waist.
“Feels Good to Be Seen……” Madonna wrote atop the image.
The AI-generated images did not sit well with many online users, who accused Madonna of disrespect.

One critic on social media called the post: “ridiculously disrespectful,” while another labeled it “creepy.”
A third commenter added: “This is just weird as hell… she’s lost it.”
Others condemned the images on religious grounds. “Disgusting! I pray her soul gets saved!” one user exclaimed.
While it seems like Madonna is embracing AI, other celebrities have been the victim of sinister images, such as Taylor Swift.
In January of this year, some explicit AI-generated images of the singer circulated on X, causing her fans to rally to her defense.

The origin of the deepfake images remains unclear, but the backlash was speedy.
Soon after, “Protect Taylor Swift” began trending as fans united to condemn the creators of the doctored photos.
Reports from the Mirror claimed that Swift was “furious” about the images and considered taking legal action.
With the constant upgrades to AI, there are fears that incidents such as these will be more commonplace in the future.
